Another Week…

June 20, 2014  |  Uncategorized  |  Comments Off on Another Week…

One week remains in our June ‘Guest in the Gallery’ show. We are featuring the photography of the late Seth Farris of Alva, OK. We had an outstanding opening public reception during the monthly First Friday Art Walk in downtown Alva on June 6th.

Seth was a graduate of Alva High School and the Oklahoma School of Photography. Much of his work deals with fire – grass fires in particular. Seth’s father was a long-time Chief of the Alva Fire Department and Seth’s interest in fire seemed a natural development.

The show is in our gallery through June 27th. Photos are available framed or unframed; you can select from a variety of frame mouldings in our shop!

This photo was one of Seth’s favorites; he titled it “River of Fire.”

The Gift of ART (yes, it’s the gift that keeps on giving!)

You can encourage your child’s creativity this Christmas with an Artist Easel from Murrow’s. This sturdy easel is double-sided, for use with either chalk or dry-erase markers. It includes three trays and one roll of 18″ x 25′ paper – both accessible from either side. It’s legs are rubber-tipped, to prevent slipping on tile floors. This easel can grow with your child, with adjustments from 46″ to 54″ tall; it can also be converted to a table-top easel. An artist accessory kit is available (also in stock in our shop).
